Where can I find Chrome?
I've heard I can use/install Chrome from the desktop. Where can I find it, please?

I've found you can just download and install on any campus PC. It doesn't need admin rights to run.

To install Chrome for all users of a PC please install using the Run Advertised Programs utility which can be found on the Desktop. It is listed as Google Chrome 10.0
There is one other gotcha with Chrome through. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support Roaming Profiles properly and instead stores all user data in the Local Settings on the PC. This means bookmarks and other preferences will not follow users if they move between different PCs. For staff who use the same office PC every day this will not be a problem. However for users of open access PCs, all user preferences for Chrome will be lost when they move on.- view 1 more comment

Sync to Google does kind of work. But if you roam to another PC you have to reconfigure the sync (the settings for sync do not following you around). Again, not a problem if you typically use the same PC every day.

Cheers Leigh, that's very useful. For some reason I assumed it'd be delivered over VMware like Firefox.
